CHANCE Network Meeting, Malta 16/19 october 2024

Next week, the annual CHANCE Network Meeting kicks off in Malta, where we’ll join forces to discuss anti-corruption initiatives, reflect on our progress, and plan for 2025 .

This year’s meeting is extra special, as it will span several days of impactful activities, including a remembrance of Daphne Caruana Galizia, whose murder 7 years ago shook the world.

On October 16, we’ll begin with a Silent Gathering in Bidnija, honoring Daphne’s memory at the place where she was tragically murdered.

Later that day, we will march through Valletta in a Vigil for Truth and Justice, standing united in our call for accountability and transparency.

On October 17, we’ll dive into a full day of discussions and workshops led by experts in the field of anti-corruption, journalism, and civil society activism. Together, we will explore essential topics such as whistleblowing, civil society court activism, and the impact of public inquiries.

Finally, on October 18 and 19, we will turn our focus inward, dedicating time to strategic planning for the future of the CHANCE Network. We’ll review our progress, including key initiatives like #YouthInAction, and outline the steps we’ll take in 2025 to further strengthen our community’s impact.

Each day is filled with meaningful events, bringing us closer to our mission of building a more transparent, just, and equitable society.
